How to land a dream job in the digital era

Have you ever read something, that hits you so incredibly hard that you suddenly wake up? Something that stays in your head, day after day and keeps you from sleeping?

When I decided to apply at adidas almost six months ago I was scared as hell. There are a lot of talented people with a ton of experience out there. Creating a traditional CV, writing a cover letter and eventually landing on a huge pile of portfolios? Yeah ... right. Not an option.
It took some time, but all the hours that went into florian is all in were worth it. I learned a lot, not just about techie stuff like responsive design, but also about myself and how the recruiting industry is changing.
And it worked! In April 2012 I had my first day at the global adidas headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany. I couldn't be happier with my decision, I love the spirit of the brand and how people are breathing it there every day. It's simply an exciting place to come to every morning. I mean, just look at this place – yes, this is real.
We're living in amazing times. I truly believe that the talents of the Gen-Y generation have the privilege to rewrite the rules of job hunting right now. The success of other job seeking adventures like Google, Please Hire Me simply speak for themselves.
